Rainy days in the summer, I'm still not sure whether I like them or not. It is nice sitting in a cute coffee shop with your friends and listening to the sound of rain falling on the nearby window, but walking from with rain pouring into your new Vans is surely not a nice thing. But hey, I guess I can live with that, as long as I have my tea and my (fake) leather backpack.

The Zagreb Zoo is definitely one of my favourite places ever, I have visited it at least once a year for as long as I can remember, so you can only imagine how much fun I had today. Even though the weather was cloudy, Nataša & I had so much fun, and even went out for coffee later, making it even more perfect. The city is so filled with tourists at this time of year and it's so interesting to watch them get lost in our little city.

And dressed like this and with my Canon around my neck, i couldn't help but feel like a tourist myself. But I enjoyed it, and hope I will visit the Zoo again soon.

Bike rides & photoshoots, currently my two favourite things at the moment, especially if they're with Nataša. And so we went to the local lake, Jarun, and had so much fun. The wind going trough our hair and talking about bands (5SOS we're looking at you) and drinking ice coffee, I doubt it that there is a better way to spend the summer.

After a very positive feedback from you guys I decided to continue making posts on this blog, and so I started a (first) new series - things avalon loves~

The first things that I love and have a still small collection of, are minerals. Most women prefer diamonds, but theres just something in minerals that I love. The first one I bought was the fluorite one, bought in 7th grade, but the main addiction started this year when I bought the quartz at a small mineral store here in Zagreb. Then my best friend and I bought matching ones, I bought the green marble and she bought the black one. One day Nataša and I went to the town and bought 2 minerals, the agate and the rosen quartz, which we will both later make into pendants for necklaces. And last but not least important, the amethyst I bought this summer at Nin, a lovely ball one attached to a necklace already. So lovely, all of them.

A fresh new package - the best thing you can see when you enter your home for the first time in weeks. What makes it even better, it was a band tee. What makes it even better, it was Pierce The Veil. I guess I officially died and am now blogging from heaven (it's pretty hot).

Seems like my whole teenage life has led up to this point, opening an actual blog. I've already spent thousands of hours blogging on tumblr, but this is completely different, this takes courage. And I think I just may be brave enough.

The biggest question is, what made me brave enough? The asnwer still isn't clear to me. It may have been that I can barely close my closet doors and I still somehow convinved my mom to take me shopping on Wednesday, or the fact that I decided that I should let myself do what I want and what interestes me despite of my fears. Fashion is what I love, people thinking that it's stupid will not convince me otherwise. It is a way to express yourself, your soul, your dreams and your fears. Just think of that moment when you see the dress that you've been looking for the last few weeks or that eyeshadow colour that would look so good with that one lipstick. That's what I want my life to be made of, small moments of joy, because the small things matter in life much more than the big ones, but I guess we will only truly learn that over the years.

So yes. This is my blog, my life, dedicated to my love of fashion, beauty, creativity & design.
