And here we are at last, the final day of 2017. And a very good year it was, at least for me. So many trips, new friends, new experiences and sooo many stories to tell. It may sound cheesy but I can definitely see how much I've grown this year and how I finally started taking care of myself. After all, I turned 20 this year, that basically means I'm a grown up now (but we all know I'll always remain a teenager at heart). So 2017., cheers, you were better than I hoped you would be, and thank you for teaching me how to be me!

As some of you may know, last year I shared with you my New Year's resolutions for 2017 (which you can read here) so I decided to do the same for this year. To be honest, no, I didn't succeed in all of them, but looking back now and realising how many I actually managed to do makes me so proud of myself. All I have to say for now is - Dear 2018., please be even better than 2017. was, and let me grow even more.

1. You do you boo
Never be afraid to be yourself & never care more what others think than what you think. Cut your hair if you want to, listen to the song that everyone hates but you love, and for goodness sake eat that cake. And that dress you like? You're gonna regret not buying it, so just do it.

2. Breathe
I know I always tend to freak out over meaningless things, overthink and just have way too much on my plate, which always makes me so stressed out, and that is not how I want to be in 2018. I just want to take everything slow, just enjoy the moments, relax, give things a second look and just blindly rush into them.

3. Fill that map with pins
This will be my New Year's resolution until the day that I die - travel more! This year has been amazing considering travels, I got to see Venice, Santorini, Barcelona and numerous places in Croatia, and thus the number of pins on the world map on my wall has been growing. And I just hope it will never stop.

4. Watch more movies
I love watching movies but I have this stupid switch in my head that it is smarter to watch 4 episodes in a row than to watch a movie. Which is stupid.. very stupid. Thus, this year I want to focus more on movies and a bit less on TV shows.

5. Focus on the important things
I need to learn to let go of everything that is temporary and just focus on myself, my studies & the things I love doing.

6. Finish the sketchbook
I wrote this one last year too, but I didn't succeed in it. So, fingers crossed for this year.

7. Organise your time better
Please! I need to stop wasting time on my phone and actually do something productive. At least, watch a movie that I wanted to watch for a few months, or start reading the book that I buy but never read. Or, you know, do something for Uni, that is always a smart idea.

8. Love love & only love
No hate in 2018., always be kind and do your best. Try not to hold grudges against people & stop constantly complaining. Be happy & love, that's it.

Aaand that would be it. My 8 resolutions that I hope will come true in 2018. Wish me luck. <3

After almost two months of my dear friend Donovan living in Zagreb, we finally agreed to shoot together! If you still haven't heard of it (shame on you) make sure you check out his blog & instagram,! He truly is a talent when it comes to these things, and I am so excited to show you what else we did!

The dress that I am wearing a white long dress which I got from Mango, and I love wearing it during autumn because it has long sleeves, and it looks good with almost any puffy or big piece of outerwear. The jacket however, is Donovan's. It's such a cool piece, considering it has all these pins on it!

In case you still haven't noticed, I have a new tattoo! And I decided that would be it for accessories that day haha. And the shoes, are of course, my Dr. Martens.

There are only a few things that make me feel happier than splurging on makeup for my birthday. And after a while, it's finally here! My ColourPop makeup review! Initially, I only wanted to buy their Yes, Please! palette, but if you spend more than a couple minutes on their site, you can not leave without having at least 3 things in your cart. Or in my case, 4.

The first thing that I ordered is this cute Quartz Priming Spray, which came packed in a box decorated with glitter (does it get any better than that?). The spray itself is quite small, but a little bit of it goes a long way. The one I have smells like cucumber water, and it also has dragon fruit, honey & pomegranate and orange flower extract, making it great for your skin.

The only thing that bothers me a bit is that the drops are rather big, so you have to spray it far from your face (or just replace the pump). I've already used it a few times & so far it is very good, it feels light on the skin and the makeup definitely stays on longer.

The next things I ordered are these two absolutely beautiful dual chrome eyeshadows in the shades Glass Bull & Tea Garden. Glass Bull is more of a silver-purple one, whereas Tea Garden is more of an golden-green one. So far I've only tried Glass Bull and I was amazed by how good it looked!

I ordered it with the box so it was a tad more expensive, but it's easier for me to use it that way. The pigment is really good, and of course better when you spray a bit of a fixation spray over the brush, so when I wore it out to a club, there were barely any creases when I got home.

And finally, the thing I was most excited for, their Yes, Please! palette! I had to wait for a bit before ordering it because it was out of stock, but as soon as they had it back I bought it. What I love most about it are the shades, as I am a big fan of red and gold eyeshadows, and this palette is a great mix of those colours.

For the packaging, I thought it was going to be bigger, but this way it is quite light and travel friendly, considering it doesn't have a mirror inside. The eyeshadows aren't big either, but the ones I've tried so far have been very pigmented, especially the yellow & burgundy one! The only thing I didn't like is that they have quite a lot of fall outs (as you can see on the palette). I am so excited to see how the rest turn out. I did a swatch as well (see pics below)with only spraying my arm with the priming spray I also bought, so you can see for yourself how they look on my extra pale skin.

And that would be it! So far I'm very satisfied with their products, their prices are budget friendly so almost everyone can afford their makeup. The eyeshadows that I've tried were very pigmented, and the priming spray did it's job well.

If you have any more questions or would like to see some looks that I created with them, feel free to message me or comment here, I always love seeing your feedback!

This is it! My 100th post! After three and a half years it has finally happened, but even though that is absolutely amazing there is something that kind of concerns me. I am writing this post during some of my last moments of being a teenager, damn. Being 19 was amazing, but the fact that I'm turning 20 tomorrow feels well, a bit terrifying. So, to calm myself I decided to write 20 things 19 year old me wants future me to remember during her 20's, let's just hope I listen to at least 4 of these things, because after all, I am a very stubborn person.

1. Read books
I know that most of the time you don't feel like reading and that'd you'd rather scroll through Instagram and Tumblr, but it is healthy to just lay down for a few minutes and enjoy reading a book. You'll thank yourself for it.

2. Focus on the positive
Life isn't always as bad as it seems, there is always a bit of good in something bad. Just remember the quote "there is peace even in the storm", it's good to live your life by it.

3. Call your friends more often
These people are your own chosen family, but if you don't keep in contact with them, you will lose them in a blink of an eye. Call them, see them, travel just to give them a hug, it's always worth it.

4. Enjoy the moment
Sometimes, you rush from thing to thing, but always remember to take a deep breath, look around you, and just take in all the wonders that surround you. A memory is better than a picture on Instagram.

5. Spend more time with your family
They are people who will always love no matter what, and more than you will ever know. Listen to them, take their advice into mind, and always take care of them, because you truly are going to miss them one day.

6. Change is always acceptable
No matter how you were yesterday or what you thought, you can always change that. People grow, they learn and thus, they change. So, keep growing & learning, and always strive for better and new things, you're worth it.

7. Save up money
Please. You're so bad at it, but please try. It's always nice to buy yourself that one shirt that is a bit too expensive but you adore it, or go on an unplanned roadtrip in the middle of the week.

8. Work on yourself
And never stop. You are the most important person in your life, so if you don't work on yourself, who will?

9. Get that tattoo & cut your hair
If you like it, get it. Maybe, just maybe, try and put some meaning into it. After all, that piece of art is going to be in your skin forever, so make it worth it. And for the hair - it will grow back someday. It will recover, just as you will.

10. Take care of yourself
You will thank yourself for it. If you don't feel like going out, don't. Stay in, make yourself a nice cup of tea, open up a chocolate and watch that new TV show that you've been wanting to watch for months.

11. Work out & eat healthy
Yes, you lazy ass. At least once a week. If nothing else, the 60 year old Paula will thank us for this.

12. Do art, please
It is so important to do things that bring you joy. It can even be a stupid little sketch, doesn't have to be a huge painting. Just keep creating, keep drawing, taking photos, painting.. everything! It puts your soul at ease.

13. Travel
Please, fill up the map that you've had on your wall for years now. Nothing feels better than putting a new pin into it.

14. Disconnect for a bit
It is healthy, and you really need it sometimes. Turn off your phone, put away your laptop. Go for a walk, meet up with an old friend. Your mind and mental health will thank you.

15. Pay more attention
Because you can never go back to a certain moment. Try and remember what your friend said she wanted and get her that for her birthday, remember the dress you wore to that one night out, enjoy the meal you're having, and always look up, the skies and the stars are so beautiful sometimes.

16. Try new things
Try new food, experiment with your hair, wear that shirt that has been sitting in your closet for years. You never know what the outcome might be.

17. Chin up & straighten you back
If nothing else, you'll look better in pictures. Plus, your back might not hurt as much.

18. Journal
I know you suck at it, but it is so nice to look back at certain moments and emotions you might've forgotten you've experienced. And you always keep things such as tickets, it's a nice place to put them all together.

19. Listen to that song that you love so much
And never care what other people might think of it. If you like it, do it. Just, be you.

20. Love you, for you
Always, and forever. Because you are all you truly have, so read all of this again, remember your traits, and your faults. Never keep growing. And just enjoy life while you still can.

love always,
paula avalon xo

New coat means that autumn is officially here! Layers on layers on layers season is here, and I hope you're ready for it, cause I know I sure am! That, and sipping some tasty green tea snuggled up in a sweater in a cute cafe somewhere in the centre.. okay, enough of the daydreaming, let's talk about the outfit.

My best friend who studies abroad came back home for a couple of weeks so we decided to spend a whole day together, lunch, coffee & drinks, the way Balkan people live. So, as I knew we would be going to a lot of places, I decided to wear something both cute and comfortable. And thank God I did, because we ended up having a "posh day", going from a cake shop to a fancy bar and a new theatre play.

As I've already mentioned, I have a new coat! I wanted a black oversized coat for a few years now, and you can only imagine how happy I was when I stumbled upon this beautiful woolen one in Zara. The shirt that I am wearing is a vintage one I stole from my grandma, and it's also oversized and covered in cute little dots. Black jeans are my staple item, so no wonder that I'm wearing them today too, but these ones are a new pair I got a few weeks ago at Stradivarius & they are high waisted, yay!

The shoes that I'm wearing are my ankle boots in half velvet half leather from Pull&Bear, such a perfect pair for these autumn days. My bag also used to be my grandma's, but I fell in love with it as soon as I saw it, so now it's mine hehe. The accent piece of this outfit is definitely this scarf that I got as a gift so I'm not sure where it's from, but I love how long & cozy it is, and the red-black-white colour scheme it has going on. Also, it's perfect for burying your face in when the cold winds start blowing. Basically, a must have.

Hey babes! Recently I was contacted by Yoins, a popular shopping site filled with clothes which fit just about every style and budget! While scrolling through their items, as I usually do when I'm out of TV shows to watch, I stumbled upon so many cute pieces, so I decided to share a few with you here.

In case you like the items that I've shared with you and want to buy something from their website, don't forget that Black Friday & Cyber Monday are coming soon, so you can these amazing pieces at an even lower price! Oh, and you can also get a surprise gift!

Something that I love wearing during autumn is blouses, because not only do they look cute, but they are perfect to wear during fall because you can easily just put a blazer or a cardigan over it, and voila - you have a cosy and warm outfit! Luckily, they offer a great variety of fashionable blouses for women and here are some, they are just effortlessly cute!

Yes, they are all white, but you that's how I like them haha. They are so easy to style during these cold days, but even easier during the summer when you can just throw them on a mini skirt, add some sandals or cool shoes, accessories, a cute bag, and you're ready for your summer stroll around the city! If this didn't inspire you enough, check out Yoins' tips on how to style them, some of the looks are so pretty! They also have a super cute blog, so feel free scroll a bit and inform yourself on many styles and tips they have to share!

Yoins is so amazing for whatever you are looking for, and I am already putting together my own wishlist. I don't know about you guys, but I fell in love with the boho skirt up here, such a cute accent piece!

So yeah, make sure you check out Yoins, you might even find that perfect present for your friend that you've been looking for! And let me know if you buy something, can't wait to see what you guys like to shop for!

I feel like I almost always start these intros with talking about the weather, but isn't that the best small talk topic? Not that many things have been happening since I started the second year of Uni, I have more things to do and less time to watch all the TV shows I'm addicted to, hang out with my friends, and obviously, take care of my blog. I have a few ideas and plans that I can't wait to actually start doing, so if you're willing to wait for a bit more, I hope you won't be disappointed.

So yeah, an almost all white outfit, were you expecting that? I know I definitely wasn't haha. But somehow, I am slowly moving away from black onto grey and white. I mean, don't get me wrong, I will still be wearing black, but I just may bring more colours into my closet.

The shirt is a basic white crop top from Primark, a staple piece everyone has to have. This skirt is from Mohito, and it is such a lovely one, the material is a bit thick so I can wear it during these colder days of autumn, plus it flows so nicely. One of my favourite jackets to wear during fall is this sporty blue jacket which was such a good find at my local second hand shop. What makes it pop are the red and white stripes it has in the front, they definitely add a lot more fun to the whole outfit.

These sneakers are honestly the most comfortable ones I own, plus they look so good. They are Nike Huarache Air ones & they're all white, definitely a first for me, but hey, you have to step out of your comfort zone now and then. To keep up with the white theme of the outfit, I wore my leather bag from Mango.
