There are only a few things that make me feel happier than splurging on makeup for my birthday. And after a while, it's finally here! My ColourPop makeup review! Initially, I only wanted to buy their Yes, Please! palette, but if you spend more than a couple minutes on their site, you can not leave without having at least 3 things in your cart. Or in my case, 4.

The first thing that I ordered is this cute Quartz Priming Spray, which came packed in a box decorated with glitter (does it get any better than that?). The spray itself is quite small, but a little bit of it goes a long way. The one I have smells like cucumber water, and it also has dragon fruit, honey & pomegranate and orange flower extract, making it great for your skin.

The only thing that bothers me a bit is that the drops are rather big, so you have to spray it far from your face (or just replace the pump). I've already used it a few times & so far it is very good, it feels light on the skin and the makeup definitely stays on longer.

The next things I ordered are these two absolutely beautiful dual chrome eyeshadows in the shades Glass Bull & Tea Garden. Glass Bull is more of a silver-purple one, whereas Tea Garden is more of an golden-green one. So far I've only tried Glass Bull and I was amazed by how good it looked!

I ordered it with the box so it was a tad more expensive, but it's easier for me to use it that way. The pigment is really good, and of course better when you spray a bit of a fixation spray over the brush, so when I wore it out to a club, there were barely any creases when I got home.

And finally, the thing I was most excited for, their Yes, Please! palette! I had to wait for a bit before ordering it because it was out of stock, but as soon as they had it back I bought it. What I love most about it are the shades, as I am a big fan of red and gold eyeshadows, and this palette is a great mix of those colours.

For the packaging, I thought it was going to be bigger, but this way it is quite light and travel friendly, considering it doesn't have a mirror inside. The eyeshadows aren't big either, but the ones I've tried so far have been very pigmented, especially the yellow & burgundy one! The only thing I didn't like is that they have quite a lot of fall outs (as you can see on the palette). I am so excited to see how the rest turn out. I did a swatch as well (see pics below)with only spraying my arm with the priming spray I also bought, so you can see for yourself how they look on my extra pale skin.

And that would be it! So far I'm very satisfied with their products, their prices are budget friendly so almost everyone can afford their makeup. The eyeshadows that I've tried were very pigmented, and the priming spray did it's job well.

If you have any more questions or would like to see some looks that I created with them, feel free to message me or comment here, I always love seeing your feedback!

Thank you for reading!

Another October, another chance to see what some of our designers have prepared for this season, and I couldn't be more excited. This week at the Bipa Fashion.hr I had the pleasure of attending two days of fashion shows, first day in the company of my friend and fellow blogger Luka from Expensive Reality for the Robert Sever show.

Robert Sever

For this season the designer showcased a wide variety of long dresses, coats, jackets and shirt for both men and women, with materials ranging from denim to florals and glitter in 60 different looks. As you know, I will never lie to you and will always tell you what I truly think, so don't be mad when I say I wasn't impressed by this show. Some of the pieces were beautiful, and I love how loose and flowy the dresses and the blouses were, but some of the patterns and textiles were a no from me. My personal favourite was a beautiful long floral dress, feels like it would be a perfect piece for a summer wedding or if you just want to feel like a spring goddess. All in all, the effort and creativity that went into this collection is visibly immense, and a simple confirmation to why Robert Sever is one of the most famous and appreciated designers when it comes to formal dressing. For me, most of the items were a pass as it just isn't my style, but if you like looking fancy, make sure you check out his new collection.

What I was most excited was Day 2, and first of all, I need to give a BIG thank you to Klisab for inviting me to their show. Nothing feels better then being invited to see your favourite Croatian designers' new show. My date for that night was Donovan, my dear friend who also happens to be a blogger, and personally, he slays. Make sure to check my boy out both on Instagram & his blog.

Day 2 was reserved for 6 shows, and the ice-breaker was a young designer Anthony Avangard who displayed a menswear collection full of pastel and vibrant colours with touches of black, giving us a soft, yet edgy, look at the masculine side of fashion.

Show number 2 was Jamoi, who showcased a contemporary fashion collection for women in a palette of white, grey and black hues. Morana Krklec was up next, with a minimalistic womens collection full of wide and oversized cuts in black and white with  a few touches of soft beige.

The fourth show was Price on Request, who managed to get everyone's attention the second the first model walked out - in a piece of underwear and a shirt. This show a refreshment after the previous two shows, as the designer created modern, Vetements like, looks with the use of both desaturated, pastel and neon colours in her looks, as well as very interesting plastic looking materials for both skirt and coats. Even though the looks were minimalistic, they easily catch everyone's eye with the smart use of colour. A big like from me.

Up next was Ivana Janjić with a black and white men's collection, featuring some very strong modern looking pieces, made oversized and loose along with sharp edges.

And as it usually goes, the cherry on the top - Klisab. These talented boys keep making my jaw drop wih every new collection they put out. Such a fresh and new look at femininity, with a playful use of colour and material. They stuck with the colorless palette, as well as combined neutrals with vibrant reds and blues, waking us up from the dulness autumn usually brings with its rain and cloudy skies - a perfect combination. Honestly, I put half of the pieces onto my wishlist, especially the long plaid coat. In my opinion, the best show this season with the trendiest pieces out there, and I can surely say they will rise to fame quickly. Amazing!<3

Hey babes! You know what made my Friday better than the sole fact that it was a Friday? The mailman ringing at my door bell with a package that I know is filled with makeup. Two lip liners, 5 lipsticks and a brush set for smokey eye. Loving life.

BH Cosmetics recently held a huge sale and as you can see, it was hard to control myself. The first two things I decided to buy were these 2 red lip liners in the shades Retro and Spiced, Retro being the lighter and vibrant one, and Spiced the darker. I needed them to match some other lipsticks I have because everyone needs at least two shades of red lipstick at home, am i right? To continue on my red lip streak, I also decided to buy a new red lipstick from their Pop Art Collection in the shade Slam. It is a beautiful pinkish red lipstick which is highly pigmented, and stays on for quite a while. With the right setting powder and lipliner, you can make it last for the whole day.

What else do you need in your make up collection? Some really good nude lipsticks. I decided to buy two pale pink shades, named Clara and Muse. Clara is a more brown one, making a subtle accent to your make up looks, and Muse is a totally pale one, almost matching my skin tone. They are both super pigmented and very light on the lips, plus it's not patchy and easy to apply.

But you know, there has always got to be something wild. And so, I bought a turquoise and brown metallic liquid lipsticks, in the shades Esmeralda & Amber. As well as the nude ones, they feel great on the lips and look amazing. BH Cosmetics really did perfect their liquid lipstick formula, as every lipstick I tried has been highly pigmented, no smudges and sooo light. Perfect, already know where I'm gonna order new lipsticks.

And last but not least, I really needed a new brush set so I decided to buy their Smokey Eye Brush Set, with 7 different brushes, all designed for a special purpose. From super fluffy to fine, these are perfect for easy everyday looks.

Let me know what you think and if you have any recommendations for my future purchases!

Thank you for reading!

love always,
paula avalon xx
