This day is probably one of my favourite days of this year so far - morning spent having my hair done at Toni&Guy (check them out, they're amazing! <3), afternoon spent on a shoot and coffee with my dear Donovan & a concert in the evening. Kinda wishing every week had a day like this, sure did make me feel happy & special.

Honestly, I am in love with this outfit and I feel like it represents the style I always go for - vintage with a touch of alternative. The absolute statement piece of this outfit is my Grandma's old fur coat, which only is the warmest, but it's also the best looking piece of outerwear that I have. My shirt is just a basic black tee from H&M and this skirt is a (really good) thrift shop find! It used to be longer, but I had it shortened, and now I looove it.

This super cute white fake leather bag is from Mango and I love how complimentary it is with the pattern of the skirt. I am also wearing a choker from Pull&Bear, because no, I will not let chokers die & love how the look okay. The shoes are of course my fav Vans, which are perfect with basically any outfit.

As exam season is creeping on me, I decided to treat myself to a full day out in the city to relax a bit for all the upcoming stress, because that is a logical thing to do... right? I am a full believer of "treat-yo-self" moments, and for me that means teas at cute places, new hairdo's, window shopping, hanging out with friends, and of course, a shoot.

As we had a few warm days I just had to wear my old pink coat again. I love the shape of it, and it is one of the rare things in my closet that isn't black or white.. On that note, I am also wearing a plain white top from H&M and highwaisted jeans from Stradivarius.

Something that I really wanted to share with you is that I've become an ambassador for Toni&Guy and they're responsible for this super cute hair do! If you need to get your hair done, go visit them at their salon at Gajeva Street, you will not regret it. And check out their Instagram and Facebook page as well, they're amazing & deserve a follow. <3

For the details, I wore my ankle high boots from H&M, which are a must have model if you ask me. If you've been reading my posts, you know that this bag is my grandma's and I still wear it all the time as a model like that never really goes out of style. And as for the necklaces, Primark. I can never go in without buying at least one piece of jewelry.

During these cold winter months, most of the time I don't pay that much attention to how good my outfit is, but rather how cozy it is. And don't kill me, but I feel like that should be everyone's priority. You can't convince me that there is a better feeling than being all snuggled up in a sweater and basically feeling like you have a blanket on wherever you go.

Amid my recent trip to Scotland (which you can read about here) I managed to find probably the warmest and coziest item I currently have, this knitted beige cardigan. It is a bit oversized and just perfect for this type of weather, plus, as it is "basic" I can wear it with almost anything.

The skirt that I am wearing is a black one I got at Reserved, and what I like most about it is how soft and flowy it is, even though it is shaped like a pencil skirt. To keep this outfit simple, I wore my plain white crop top from Primark, as well as a black tote bag, a minimalistic golden necklace & my new Nikes.

There is no better way to kick off a new year than going on a trip. Especially if it's a 6 day trip to Scotland with your best friends. All I can say is that I hope 2018. will be as amazing as its beginning and that there will be many more trips with these two.

The main purpose of this trip was to visit Glasgow where my friend Nikola studies, and we were also accompanied by our friend Lada. We started from Zagreb on 3. January, spent a few hours in Venice, took a plane to Edinburgh and after a day there took a bus to Glasgow, where we stayed until 8. January. Basically, 4 cities in 2 days, not bad huh?

venice

As all three of us are students, we bought the cheapest plane tickets we could find - from Venice to Edinburgh. Most people would think "oh, but it's a long drive from Zagreb to Venice" but not us, the only thing on our minds was "omg we get to see Venice as well!"

My first visit to Venice was in February of last year, and it took me less than an hour to fall in love with it, so you can only imagine how happy I was to see this magnificent city again & enjoy some Italian pasta. We unfortunately didn't get a chance to see anything new, but a 5 hour stroll around Venice is good enough for me.

edinburgh

After a long day of travelling, around 11pm we finally arrived to Edinburgh & immediately took a cab to our hostel. We managed to find a room in the Castle Rock Hostel just big enough for the 3 of us, and most importantly, in the centre. And what I mean by that is that we saw the Edinburgh Castle right from our bedroom window (#goals). Even though we were exhausted we somehow found the energy to take a walk around the block at 1am, but still left most of it for the following day.

As we had about 7 hours to explore Edinburgh, we only got to see the most important bits. We hit it off with the Edinburgh Castle (but only on the outside) and then went down to the Scottish National Gallery, where we enjoyed some amazing works of art. I mean, they have Van Gogh, how could I not go in there?

After that we took a stroll around their Christmas Market, and then.. Oh, boy. We climbed the Calton Hill. It may not be as high as its surrounding hills, but for an unathletic person like me it definitely was a challenge, and also, a challenge worth the view of the city and the Nelson Monument.

Rest of the day we spent walking up and down the Royal Mile, and of course, stopped for lunch where Lada and I tried haggis for the first time, and tbh, it was pretty good! This afternoon was kind of chill, we did a bit of shopping, walked into some cool stores & of course, had tea in the afternoon at a cute cafe which we stumbled upon.

Edinburgh is a beautiful city and offers so many cultural things to see, as well as many cute shops & cafes! My only wish is that we had at least a day more there, but hey, now I know that I definitely want to come back and explore it even better.

glasgow

Unlike any other trip that I've taken before, for this one I did 0 preparation of any kind. I had no idea what I wanted to see, eat or do, because I've relied on Nikola to plan everything so I could have the truest impression possible. And wow, I loved Glasgow. To me, it had a feel of a Scottish New York with it's similar architecture, but I loved how lovely the people are, and of course, how hard their accent is to understand.

One of the first things we saw in Glasgow (not counting the pub) was the University of Glasgow, dating back to the 15th century. The building looks breathtaking, as well as its interior design, but what I liked most is that they have a museum inside of it and benches in the courtyard which are dedicated to professors and students who attended this Uni! That day, we went to the local pub to try the Scottish breakfast, and I doubt that no one will be surprised to hear that none of us managed to eat everything.

If you're looking for a lovely and relaxing walk in Glasgow, you have to go to the Botanical gardens! Not only are the exhibited plants and glasshouses amazing, but so is the walk around the park and next to the Kelvin river, especially if it ends with a pint of beer in a cute pub. If you pay attention, you'll be able to see (and maybe even meet) some cute squirrels who live there!

Being a bit of an "art hoe" is always fun when you're in another country, and this trip to Scotland truly satisfied my needs. We spent one whole morning in the Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum, where we got to see everything from modern art, ship models to Monet and Dali. In my humble opinion, a morning well spent.

The rest of our time in Glasgow was mostly spent in some really good food endulging, such as at Bread Meats Bread (if you ever find yourself in Glasgow, go there! the best burger I've had in my whole life), and tea drinking. The fanciest tea we had was in the Willow Tearooms, designed by Mackintosh, and a bit fancy. Sometimes, you have to treat yourself.

Something we also got to climb was the Lighthouse, a building designed by Mackintosh, situated in the city centre right on Buchanan street, most popular shopping street in Glasgow. The view from the top floor is pretty nice as you get to see the whole centre, and you can also take some cool photos there.

Glasgow has everything a city in my opinion should have - good restaurants, tasty tea, kind people and pretty buildings filled with cute shops! I can't wait to come here again, hopefully during a warmer season though, makes walking around the whole day much more bearable.

And here we are at last, the final day of 2017. And a very good year it was, at least for me. So many trips, new friends, new experiences and sooo many stories to tell. It may sound cheesy but I can definitely see how much I've grown this year and how I finally started taking care of myself. After all, I turned 20 this year, that basically means I'm a grown up now (but we all know I'll always remain a teenager at heart). So 2017., cheers, you were better than I hoped you would be, and thank you for teaching me how to be me!

As some of you may know, last year I shared with you my New Year's resolutions for 2017 (which you can read here) so I decided to do the same for this year. To be honest, no, I didn't succeed in all of them, but looking back now and realising how many I actually managed to do makes me so proud of myself. All I have to say for now is - Dear 2018., please be even better than 2017. was, and let me grow even more.

1. You do you boo
Never be afraid to be yourself & never care more what others think than what you think. Cut your hair if you want to, listen to the song that everyone hates but you love, and for goodness sake eat that cake. And that dress you like? You're gonna regret not buying it, so just do it.

2. Breathe
I know I always tend to freak out over meaningless things, overthink and just have way too much on my plate, which always makes me so stressed out, and that is not how I want to be in 2018. I just want to take everything slow, just enjoy the moments, relax, give things a second look and just blindly rush into them.

3. Fill that map with pins
This will be my New Year's resolution until the day that I die - travel more! This year has been amazing considering travels, I got to see Venice, Santorini, Barcelona and numerous places in Croatia, and thus the number of pins on the world map on my wall has been growing. And I just hope it will never stop.

4. Watch more movies
I love watching movies but I have this stupid switch in my head that it is smarter to watch 4 episodes in a row than to watch a movie. Which is stupid.. very stupid. Thus, this year I want to focus more on movies and a bit less on TV shows.

5. Focus on the important things
I need to learn to let go of everything that is temporary and just focus on myself, my studies & the things I love doing.

6. Finish the sketchbook
I wrote this one last year too, but I didn't succeed in it. So, fingers crossed for this year.

7. Organise your time better
Please! I need to stop wasting time on my phone and actually do something productive. At least, watch a movie that I wanted to watch for a few months, or start reading the book that I buy but never read. Or, you know, do something for Uni, that is always a smart idea.

8. Love love & only love
No hate in 2018., always be kind and do your best. Try not to hold grudges against people & stop constantly complaining. Be happy & love, that's it.

Aaand that would be it. My 8 resolutions that I hope will come true in 2018. Wish me luck. <3
