Finally, after 19 years of being alive, my time to visit Venice had finally arrived and I was the happiest I’d been in a while. My friends Adela & Irma, who are both photographers, accompanied me on this lovely trip. We saw so many beautiful sceneries, took some amazing photographs, had some delicious food, and all in all had an amazing time in this small Italian city.

We started our journey at 4am on February 18th, and around 11am we took our first steps on the Venetian seafront. As it was the first time the three of us had been to Venice, at first we decided to listen to our tour guide, but as we are quite restless, we soon gave that up and decided to do some exploring ourselves. I had done some previous research on Venice so I knew what we had to see, but I wasn’t sure where that was, but luckily, the residents of Venice wrote guidelines on the sides of their buildings. We went to Venice mainly to explore it, but the fact that it was carnival time just made the mood of it even better. Filled with tourists, but so many people around were wearing masks and costumes, you could tell they were all having fun.

St. Mark’s square and the seafront were the main highlights when it came to costumes, and we were lucky enough to see a parade. Everything was bursting with colours and creativity, so it wasn’t hard to see why the Venetian carnival is the most famous one in the world.

We all know that to experience a city in it’s true glory, you need to get lost in it. So what did we do? Of course, tried to lose ourselves in it. Venice is full of small and hidden streets, canals and bridges, and each and every one of them has a specific vibe. If you ask me, most of the time I felt like I should’ve been wearing a renaissance dress with a mask on my face running through these streets with my friends. Maybe one day..

After hours of walking, being amazed by the colourful and specific architecture, the great Rialto bridge, as Irma said “finding the heart of Venice”, seeing their market and numeral gondolas and costumes, we decided it was time for us to sit down for lunch. We found a small family owned restaurant near the Rialto bridge, but away from the crowds, and ordered some Italian pasta. Irma and I ordered Carbonara, whereas Adela tried some tagliatteli with mushrooms, both a total hit and a traditional Italian meal.

As we didn’t have that much time left, we decided just to roam for a bit more and then sat down for a lovely Aperol Spritz down at the deck, just next to the sea with a lovely view of the ongoing parade, if you ask me, a perfect way to end such a lovely trip.

As you've probably already seen on my Instagram, I went to Venice with my dear friends Adela & Irma. We were there for only one day, but even that short amount of time was enough for me to fall in love with it. Everything was so charming, the food was so good and the nice weather made everything just perfect! If you're interested to see what we saw, check out my (first) YouTube video! But don't worry, there will be a blog post about it in a couple of days.

The outfit that I chose is a simple and comfortable one. The shirt is a white striped tee from H&M, as well as the basic black jeans. As it was still a bit cold, I wore my black new hoodie from Nike which I am starting to adore, it has an inside pocket and the hood is big enough for my hair not to look weird under it. This oversized denim jacket I am wearing is thrifted, but it is originally from OVS.

Also, I am wearing my fav and most comfortable pair of shoes, my black Nike Roshes. They match almost every outfit I own, look soon good, and and beyond comfortable. As I was on a trip and was carrying some things with me, I just grabbed my black leather backpack from Primark. This cute orange beanie is from Cropp, making this whole outfit stand out a bit. Oh and, my new glasses are from Ray Ban, and please tell me that I'm not the only one who thinks I look like the biggest hipster ever with them ahaha.

Short & messy hair, but I don't care. Actually, that is a pretty good description of me, but hey, I do my best.

Anyways, this Monday was one of the best I've had in a while, why? Because I finally met Jelena, ex Instagram acquaintance, now a friend. So pretty, so charming, and most of all inspiring, we had a shoot together (as you can see) and then sat down for a cup of coffee and found out how similar we are. I can definitely say that I never want to get enough of this girl and that this only a beginning of a very long and beautiful friendship! <3

What I wore to this lovely meeting is a short black velvet dress under which I put a simple white shirt from Zara, as it is still unfortunately quite cold in Zagreb. Over that I wore my black leather jacket to kinda give this look a more punk rock vibe, plus, I really love leather jackets haha.

What I love about this outfit is my new backpack from Pull&Bear, it is so simple and plain, making it somehow elegant. The choker necklace is from Pull&Bear, whereas the heart one is a DIY by me. Also, as you can see (and finally me too), I got these brand new glasses! The frames are by Ray Ban and I love how hipster they are, much better than my last ones. And, of course, my go to sneakers, my old school Vans.. Man I really need to go shoe shopping.

Even though Valentine's Day is coming and I have no one to celebrate it with, lately I've been feeling so loved and appreciated by the people around me, and last week when I finally met Luka from Expensive Reality after years of knowing him over Instagram I felt loved even more. We shared an amazing Saturday morning, a shoot, a cup of tea, long walk around the city centre with the Sun shining and then a lovely lunch together. I only wish more people were like him, our conversation was just flowing and I am amazed by how focused he is on his goals and how amazingly he finishes them. If you ever need a ray of sunshine and positive energy in your life, just talk to him.

And yes, I am gonna be a basic white girl and say that I am blessed to be surrounded by such amazing people like him.

But not to dwell too much on how I'm feeling right now, let's talk about my outfit. I wanted to go for a vintage but yet grunge vibe with this one. This oversized denim jacket that I am wearing is from a thrift shop, bus the original brand is OVS. I love the 90's vibe this jacket gives the entire look and I can say that it is the central piece of the outfit. My fav piece of clothing in the look is definitely the skirt, I got it from Reserved for New Year's Eve and I absolutely love it, it is a bit shiny, almost knee long and high waited, and so light. As these two are a bit eye-catching, I decided to wear a basic black top from Mango underneath it.

When it comes to jewellery, I am wearing my neon pink sunglasses from Reserved, it was a bit sunny that day so they were quite handy. Also, I am wearing my black velvet choker from Pull&Bear and just a couple of basic rings from Bershka. The backpack I am wearing is my go-to bag, as literally everything that I was carrying with myself that day was able to fit in it. For the shoes, I went with my high top platform Vans, perfect for this changing weather.

Also, you should go and check Luka's Instagram account, as well as the post on his blog about our shoot!

My very dear friend Adela and I have been friends for about 2 years now, and it all started over Instagram. I basically liked every single picture she ever posted and in the evening she slid into my DMs and asked me whether I was interested in a photoshoot. Like hell yes I was. And luckily, it didn't stop there. We've not only had a ton of shoots since but we've become very close friends, so yeah, thank you Instagram!

I am grateful that such a lovely person loves working with me, we are always trying to find new interesting ideas and places for our adventures, and so far we've had some really good ones. My definite favourite is our Fairy shoot in the woods of Maksimir, which is also one of our first shoots (I actually bought a dress just for that!), but I also adore the one where we explored an abandoned building last summer. She is an amazing photographer and I love everything she posts, I don't think I would be lying if I said I was her biggest fan.

And she keeps blessing me with her works and ideas for our shoots even now. The last shoot we had was actually a bit random, we met up and didn't really know where we were going, but we still went and managed to find some pretty cool spots. And thus, we can show you these (at least for me) really cool pictures here. Enjoy!
