Hello March and hello another Bipa Fashion.hr Fashion week! This season I had the honour of attending 3 days of shows - the second, fourth and sixth. As always, I had a great time, so if you want to see more, just keep reading.

day 2.

This year a few designers threw in a little twist - they didn't have a regular show, they each had a different "performance". The designers that showcased their new collections were Unaesthetic, Morana Krklec, Mirjana Cigić and Ivana Janjić. I had the pleasure of attending this night with my fellow blogger and dear friend Marija (@mariahs_chambers), it is always a great day when she's around. <3

My favourites from this day were Unaesthetik, who displayed a very chic yet unique collection of black clothing made from very interesting materials which draped beautifully, and Ivana Janjić, with a very modern black (and white) unisex collection.

My outfit for the second day of this season's fashion week was quite simple as I was pretty busy that day. I wore my new black mom jeans which I got at Zara with a vintage oversized blouse which I stole from my Grandma (oopsie, ty grandma). The bag is from Mango and I absolutely love the embroidery on it. The shoes are my ankle boots from Pull&Bear, and the coat is from Zara. For my curly hair, all the credits go to Toni&Guy Salon, they always have my back.

day 4.

For day four (and six) I was accompanied by my dear friend Donovan (@uniqueyeah), and this time there was a catwalk.

The openers for the fourth day were Mates, a Serbian duo who displayed quite of a yugo-nostalgic collection with very cute and feminine pieces, as well as some strong ones, all in bright colours and glitter. My personal favourite was their purple glittery oversized hoodie with "Yugoslovenka" written on it, I seriously need that. Asap.

Jelena Holec gave us a new look on elegance with her collection of draped evening dresses and two piece sets with many asymmetric details and floral prints, which she mixed with pearls, lace and tulle details, perfect for the softness that spring is bringing.

This season Anthony Avangard gave us a collection inspired by Nikola Tesla, in which he displayed both male and female clothes. He stayed true to himself with very loose and oversized clothing, as well as his staple socks with A's on them. By combining monotone clothing with some shimmery pieces as well as space inspired prints, he showed us a very modern and youthful collection.

Anthony Avangard
Up next was Price on Request with a very interesting fashion forward collection made by deconstructing old clothes into new ones. Their colour palette was a mix of monotone and bold, as well as their use of completely different materials which they layered and combined together. A great look into the future of fashion.

Price on Request
My favourite show of the day was by Twins, whose collection inspired by Slavonija and safari absolutely stunned me. They had many beautiful mid length dresses with amazing prints and colours which fitted their models just right, displaying how flowy they truly are. My favourite pieces were the blue and white dress (pic below) and the embroidered two piece set, but honestly, I want to own 90% of this collection.

Twins
For this day I decided to go with an all black outfit, so I pulled out my new skirt from Mango and a crop top from Pull&Bear. As it was still cold outside I needed an extra layer so I just threw this long blazer from H&M on. For the shoes, these are the Jessica Simspon sandals which I fell in love with as soon as I saw them this month at ShoeBox. My bag is from H&M as well, and the sunglasses are from Wish.

day 6.

The openers for the last night of Fashion.hr were Arileo. With their newest collection they displayed a very bohemian range of beautiful and flowy summer dresses, from both pastels to vibrant colours with beautiful prints on them. Most of their clothing was either pleated or draped so it looked flawless as the models were walking down the runway.

Arileo
Marina Design was up next, and her collection was full of loose clothing and mostly black and white clothing, and a few blue pieces. Some of these had really intricate patterns in the front, lifting the whole line a bit.

The third brand of night was Mateyaneira with their first show at Bipa Fashion.hr. These girls wowed us with their take on the "business woman" aesthetic, showing us how fashionable two piece suits and coats can be. Definitely a great start for this young duo.

The most colourful and "summery" show of the season was by far BiteMyStyle by Zoran Aragović, a man who is not afraid of playing with both colour and prints, mixing them in a way only a few can. From swim suits to long evening dresses, this collection played with colour blocking and ruffles, prints on prints, making every piece unique.

BiteMyStyle
And, for the cherry on top, my favourite Croatian designers - Klisab. These boys always amaze me with their collections, and this one was no different. For this season they put together a collection of feminine clothes in muted colours with twists - metallic buttons, asymmetric details and deconstructed edges. Their collection had a feel of both chic and powerful, basically everything that a modern woman needs and wants (as well as me). It is clear to see how well they know their fabrics and cuts, making simple designs so much more than what we would originally think of them. So, congrats once again on a wonderful show, and can't wait to see how much more you'll grow and develop.

Klisab
What I wore for the last day was my black Nike hoodie paired with my black pleated skirt from Reserved. The best part of this outfit are definitely the white socks with my new pink glittery sandals which I got at Bershka, paired with my pink glittery backpack from Pull&Bear. And yes, I adore black AND pink glitter, get used to it. And if you're as obsessed as I am with my straight hair, check out Toni&Guy Salon as they made absolute magic. Love them so much.

Aaand that would be it, let me know what you think about these shows! And see you again next season. <3

This day is probably one of my favourite days of this year so far - morning spent having my hair done at Toni&Guy (check them out, they're amazing! <3), afternoon spent on a shoot and coffee with my dear Donovan & a concert in the evening. Kinda wishing every week had a day like this, sure did make me feel happy & special.

Honestly, I am in love with this outfit and I feel like it represents the style I always go for - vintage with a touch of alternative. The absolute statement piece of this outfit is my Grandma's old fur coat, which only is the warmest, but it's also the best looking piece of outerwear that I have. My shirt is just a basic black tee from H&M and this skirt is a (really good) thrift shop find! It used to be longer, but I had it shortened, and now I looove it.

This super cute white fake leather bag is from Mango and I love how complimentary it is with the pattern of the skirt. I am also wearing a choker from Pull&Bear, because no, I will not let chokers die & love how the look okay. The shoes are of course my fav Vans, which are perfect with basically any outfit.

As exam season is creeping on me, I decided to treat myself to a full day out in the city to relax a bit for all the upcoming stress, because that is a logical thing to do... right? I am a full believer of "treat-yo-self" moments, and for me that means teas at cute places, new hairdo's, window shopping, hanging out with friends, and of course, a shoot.

As we had a few warm days I just had to wear my old pink coat again. I love the shape of it, and it is one of the rare things in my closet that isn't black or white.. On that note, I am also wearing a plain white top from H&M and highwaisted jeans from Stradivarius.

Something that I really wanted to share with you is that I've become an ambassador for Toni&Guy and they're responsible for this super cute hair do! If you need to get your hair done, go visit them at their salon at Gajeva Street, you will not regret it. And check out their Instagram and Facebook page as well, they're amazing & deserve a follow. <3

For the details, I wore my ankle high boots from H&M, which are a must have model if you ask me. If you've been reading my posts, you know that this bag is my grandma's and I still wear it all the time as a model like that never really goes out of style. And as for the necklaces, Primark. I can never go in without buying at least one piece of jewelry.

During these cold winter months, most of the time I don't pay that much attention to how good my outfit is, but rather how cozy it is. And don't kill me, but I feel like that should be everyone's priority. You can't convince me that there is a better feeling than being all snuggled up in a sweater and basically feeling like you have a blanket on wherever you go.

Amid my recent trip to Scotland (which you can read about here) I managed to find probably the warmest and coziest item I currently have, this knitted beige cardigan. It is a bit oversized and just perfect for this type of weather, plus, as it is "basic" I can wear it with almost anything.

The skirt that I am wearing is a black one I got at Reserved, and what I like most about it is how soft and flowy it is, even though it is shaped like a pencil skirt. To keep this outfit simple, I wore my plain white crop top from Primark, as well as a black tote bag, a minimalistic golden necklace & my new Nikes.

There is no better way to kick off a new year than going on a trip. Especially if it's a 6 day trip to Scotland with your best friends. All I can say is that I hope 2018. will be as amazing as its beginning and that there will be many more trips with these two.

The main purpose of this trip was to visit Glasgow where my friend Nikola studies, and we were also accompanied by our friend Lada. We started from Zagreb on 3. January, spent a few hours in Venice, took a plane to Edinburgh and after a day there took a bus to Glasgow, where we stayed until 8. January. Basically, 4 cities in 2 days, not bad huh?

venice

As all three of us are students, we bought the cheapest plane tickets we could find - from Venice to Edinburgh. Most people would think "oh, but it's a long drive from Zagreb to Venice" but not us, the only thing on our minds was "omg we get to see Venice as well!"

My first visit to Venice was in February of last year, and it took me less than an hour to fall in love with it, so you can only imagine how happy I was to see this magnificent city again & enjoy some Italian pasta. We unfortunately didn't get a chance to see anything new, but a 5 hour stroll around Venice is good enough for me.

edinburgh

After a long day of travelling, around 11pm we finally arrived to Edinburgh & immediately took a cab to our hostel. We managed to find a room in the Castle Rock Hostel just big enough for the 3 of us, and most importantly, in the centre. And what I mean by that is that we saw the Edinburgh Castle right from our bedroom window (#goals). Even though we were exhausted we somehow found the energy to take a walk around the block at 1am, but still left most of it for the following day.

As we had about 7 hours to explore Edinburgh, we only got to see the most important bits. We hit it off with the Edinburgh Castle (but only on the outside) and then went down to the Scottish National Gallery, where we enjoyed some amazing works of art. I mean, they have Van Gogh, how could I not go in there?

After that we took a stroll around their Christmas Market, and then.. Oh, boy. We climbed the Calton Hill. It may not be as high as its surrounding hills, but for an unathletic person like me it definitely was a challenge, and also, a challenge worth the view of the city and the Nelson Monument.

Rest of the day we spent walking up and down the Royal Mile, and of course, stopped for lunch where Lada and I tried haggis for the first time, and tbh, it was pretty good! This afternoon was kind of chill, we did a bit of shopping, walked into some cool stores & of course, had tea in the afternoon at a cute cafe which we stumbled upon.

Edinburgh is a beautiful city and offers so many cultural things to see, as well as many cute shops & cafes! My only wish is that we had at least a day more there, but hey, now I know that I definitely want to come back and explore it even better.

glasgow

Unlike any other trip that I've taken before, for this one I did 0 preparation of any kind. I had no idea what I wanted to see, eat or do, because I've relied on Nikola to plan everything so I could have the truest impression possible. And wow, I loved Glasgow. To me, it had a feel of a Scottish New York with it's similar architecture, but I loved how lovely the people are, and of course, how hard their accent is to understand.

One of the first things we saw in Glasgow (not counting the pub) was the University of Glasgow, dating back to the 15th century. The building looks breathtaking, as well as its interior design, but what I liked most is that they have a museum inside of it and benches in the courtyard which are dedicated to professors and students who attended this Uni! That day, we went to the local pub to try the Scottish breakfast, and I doubt that no one will be surprised to hear that none of us managed to eat everything.

If you're looking for a lovely and relaxing walk in Glasgow, you have to go to the Botanical gardens! Not only are the exhibited plants and glasshouses amazing, but so is the walk around the park and next to the Kelvin river, especially if it ends with a pint of beer in a cute pub. If you pay attention, you'll be able to see (and maybe even meet) some cute squirrels who live there!

Being a bit of an "art hoe" is always fun when you're in another country, and this trip to Scotland truly satisfied my needs. We spent one whole morning in the Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum, where we got to see everything from modern art, ship models to Monet and Dali. In my humble opinion, a morning well spent.

The rest of our time in Glasgow was mostly spent in some really good food endulging, such as at Bread Meats Bread (if you ever find yourself in Glasgow, go there! the best burger I've had in my whole life), and tea drinking. The fanciest tea we had was in the Willow Tearooms, designed by Mackintosh, and a bit fancy. Sometimes, you have to treat yourself.

Something we also got to climb was the Lighthouse, a building designed by Mackintosh, situated in the city centre right on Buchanan street, most popular shopping street in Glasgow. The view from the top floor is pretty nice as you get to see the whole centre, and you can also take some cool photos there.

Glasgow has everything a city in my opinion should have - good restaurants, tasty tea, kind people and pretty buildings filled with cute shops! I can't wait to come here again, hopefully during a warmer season though, makes walking around the whole day much more bearable.
