This morning I woke up to a text, and one of the first words that I read was "snow". Yup, in case you didn't know by now, it snowed in Zagreb, and as happy as some people are about it, I am not. I love watching the snow fall while I'm somewhere inside, but as soon as I have to set my foot out the door, I hate it. Thus, I decided to reminisce about when it was a bit warmer outside and share with you this outfit that Luka and I shot more than a month ago.

As you can see, I was fighting against autumn making colours die by wearing a bright red puffy jacket from Pull&Bear, and matching it with my heart shaped sunglasses, because the world looks much cooler when it's all red. This polka dotted bodice is from Zara, and this black denim skirt is as well, but I have to admit, I really do have a thing for dots recently.

These amazing black suede block heel ankle booties are from ShoeBox, and they're an amazing model for these autumn days, when it's sunny and not snowing. My bag is vintage, aka I got it from my grandma's closet, and these sunglasses are from Wish (because it doesn't have to be expensive to look good). In case you were wondering, yes - I am wearing a grey lipstick, it's from MAC and the lipliner is from Nyx Cosmetics.

I've been trying to step out of my comfort zone lately because I can see how deeply I have fallen into it, and I feel like this look is a big push out for me, kind of excited to see what else I'll come up with in the future.

Robert Sever

Better two weeks late than never, right? Or is that just something that I tell myself everytime I (over)procrastinate doing something to make myself feel better? Anyway, I finally sat down, went through the photos and decided to write a short recap/review of this years fall/winter edition of BIPA Fashion.hr, which I attended for two days, day 3 & day 4.

The first show of the season, for me, was Robert Sever's, a highly acclaimed and famous Croatian designer whose clothes always have a dose of femininity and elegance. What makes this collection stand out from his other ones is the colour, as he switched his usually wide palette for only red and black, bringing a sensual vibe to every look. His variety of coats and dresses is what I liked the most - from midi to maxi, each and every one made special with the touches of patterns, frills and lace. Robert managed to combine semi-tranparent materials with classic winter clothes, making something I would usually only wear during hot months wearable even in this weather. All in all, a great pret-a-porter collection where the designer stepped outside of his comfort zone and created some amazing looks, where every woman can find something for herself (I'd like the coat in the pic above, thank you hahah).

Robert's shows are always a bit 'fancy', so I decided to dress like that. I went with my new red asymmetrical dress from Zara, with black flower details made from velvet which turn green when hit with light from certain angles (amazing, right?). I paired that with a dark red lipstick (BH Cosmetics), plain black tights and my new ShoeBox shoes, and of course, a black coat - a girl's gotta stay warm.

Day 4 was reserved for Croatia's young designers - Twins, StaÅ¡a Design, Jelena Holec and Klisab.

Even though I had heard about Twins before, I truly saw how amazing they are when I attended their show lasts season, but this time they blew me away. This young duo, which consists of Domagoj Å timac and Damir Begović, stuck to their 50's Yugonostalgic vibe and transformed it into a young futuristic look by using bright colours and not-so-conventional materials. Big skirts, oversized coats and T-Shirts with funny and original texts are staple Twins pieces, and something that when you look at it, you just know they designed it.

Up next was Staša Design, a Croatian designer with a London address, whose collection is minimalism at it's best. A nude palette mixed with black and whites, feminine and modest clothes with a hint of eastern vibes, and what I loved most - bamboo bags. Truly a collection of classic pieces with a twist, a bit for every women's taste.

Unlike Staša, Jelena Holec showed us what dark fantasies, expensive taste and fancy dressing look like when mixed, with a collection of dresses and coats, all unique in style, pattern and texture. Staying true to herself, she stuck with a dark palette and made every single piece special with her eye for detail - adding frills, volume and lace.

The last show of the night were another amazing young duo of designers, Marko Å abarić and Tomislav KliÅ¡kinić, better known as Klisab. I've been a fan of theirs for years now, and I love seeing their style evolve and get even better with each season. If these two know something - it's coats and bags. They always play with patchwork, buttons and visible seams, but stick to their dark and sophisticated palette which brings their signature look of feminine power. Every it girl either wants or already has one of their bags, and this season they experimented by making small ones that you can carry around your neck and some bigger crossbody ones. A very mature and sophisticated collection which showed us why we should look out for them even more, because with every season we can see what they truly bring to this world, and I have no doubts for their future.

My date for the night was my dear friend Donovan, and we both went for colorblocking our outfits (and no, this wasn't planned). I wanted to go for an outfit that would be a mix of modern and vintage, so I wore this super oversized blue blazer that I got at a second hand store & just tied it around the waist with a black belt. My jeans are from Stradivarius, these chunky boots are H&M and the bag is Mango. As long as most of the outfit is black, I have no problem wearing it, black is always my go to choice, blue is 100% something new and bold for me, but I am glad I decided to mix it up - it's good to step out of you comfort zone every now and then.

All in all, I am happy to have seen these amazing designers showcase what they've worked so hard on and I am excited to see what they have in mind for the next season, good luck guys! <3

If you've taken a walk recently, or at least looked outside your window, you could've noticed that a new season is here. And even though autumn is the season of nature slowly dying and everything fading, there are so many things to look forward to and some that are just starting, like a new year and semester at University. I am still not sure whether I'm excited about the latter, considering how hectic the last one was, but what I am excited about are all the cups of tea I get to sip now, either hidden under my blanket bingewatching some TV show or sitting in some cute coffee shop with my friends.

These days between summer and autumn are always confusing to me because I never truly know what weather to dress for. It's usually really cold in the mornings and evenings, but around noon you regret wearing more than one layer. What I always found to be the perfect thing to wear during these transitional days is a leather jacket, so last month I went on a quest of finding myself a new one because my old one was all worn out. After many hours spent scrolling through online shops & window shopping, I found my perfect one at Pull&Bear, a black leather jacket which is cropped at the waist, has a belt and a side zipper. Nothing too detailed, but detailed just enough.

In order to avoid a fight with my "all black" loving inside voice, I paired it with a minimalistic midi-length black dress from Zara, which with its wool blend mix and length is made for this type of weather. As it was one those coffee date in the morning, lectures in the afternoon type of days, I had my new Nike sack bag on, because I am always amazed at how many things fit inside it.

What makes this outfit stand out, and also quite noticeable (a friend of mine recognised me on the street only because I had them on), are these amazing sneakers that I got at ShoeBox. Lately, I've been obsessed with everything pink, and when I saw these holographic yellow-pink ones I just knew I had to have them. They make even the most boring outfit pop and they bring colour into this dulness that autumn is all about.

When everything else fails, just wear an all black outfit - life motto. In my last few posts I wrote about finally giving colours a chance and it was great, truly, but something about black always has me coming back to it. Maybe it's its comfort, elegance and beauty, and maybe it's just me feeling most comfortable in it. Whatever it is, you can't deny that all black outfits don't look sleek and cool, even in hot weather.

This cute see-through top is actually thrifted, it can both be worn normally or off-shoulder (I think it's apparent which one I like more) and the pattern on it is what got me to buy it in the first place because it looks like a mix of florals and lace. I've had this black midi skirt from Reserved for quite some time, and the pleading on it is what makes it stand out the most, plus it's not super tight and the material is quite light making it perfect for summer. Even though this is an all black outfit, the different patterns is what makes it so interesting and that is the key to nailing a one colour ootd.

I don't know what is it about shoes with heels/platforms, but they just make you feel like you run the world. These black sandals are by Carrano and I got them at ShoeBox, and not only did I fall in love with them as soon as I saw them because they're stunning, they're also super comfortable! It's a win-win situation with these. This black bag with embroidered flowers is from Mango and it's become one of my favourite ones, mostly because it can make a dull outfit look so much better instantly. Also, I think I may have an early case of a bag addiction, but we'll see. Because you know, my bags and shoes always go together.

Summer in Zagreb has never been this fun, with all the tourists coming here and exploring our city, the whole place is just bustling with life, even in the middle of the week. I've lived here my whole life  and trust me, it didn't use to be like this 5 or so years ago, and it makes my heart so warm to see so many different people from all over the world appreciating my hometown.

But it's not only the tourists, it's the locals too! So many events and festivals are going on in the city that there is always something to do and something to see, and ever since the World Cup, there is a certain feeling of joy and pride in the air. People are still singing our "fan songs" and have the flag on their cars and balconies, and yes, we are still talking about it.

With all these things going on, it is kind of hard to find a time and place when you can just go into the city and chill, without having to worry about finding a place to sit in a cafe or bar that you love or running into someone you know, but it still exists - weekend mornings.

Sunday mornings are pretty chill anywhere you go, so I went for a simple and minimalistic look. Lately I've been trying to bring more colours into my closet, and red has proven to be a perfect choice for that. This red casual dress is from Pull&Bear, and there is such a summer vibe around it that I adore.

The shoes that I'm wearing are my new black mules from ShoeBox which I love, and it may be only me, but I think that because of them this whole outfit has an "italian vibe". Also, I am *still* one of those people who have to have matching shoes and a bag, so naturally I went for my black (fake) leather handbag from Mango, which is perfect for my everyday activities. And I can both hold it in my hand, or wear it on my shoulder, it's a win-win situation.

You know summer can finally start when you're finally done with summer exams. So yes - I can finally sit down in peace and sip on some lemonade while trying to get a bit of a tan in some cute cafe in the centre. Or you know.. finally be able to binge watch the TV shows that I didn't have time to watch before. I'm fine with both.

Lately I decided to bring more colours into my wardrobe, and I guess pastels are the first step towards that. This amazing lilac skirt is from Zara and it's such a go-to item during summer, because not only is it short and you won't melt while you're wearing it, it's also super fashionable.

This black shirt is originally from Monki but I bought it for 15 kunas at my local second hand shop. If you've been following me for some time, you know that I love thrifting and second hand shopping. You can always find some amazing pieces at affordable prices and you know that you (probably) won't see anybody else wearing that exact same thing, which is always cool. If you like being original and standing out, this is a great way to do so, as well as sewing your own clothes. That way you can wear exactly what you want and you'll be super proud of yourself because you'll know *you* made it by yourself on your own sewing machine. I always admire people more when I can see that they're being themselves and being unapologetic about it.

These sunglasses have been everywhere, and I can understand why - they look so freaking good. I am a fan of vintage fashion so I was quite happy when I saw these retro sunglasses becoming trendy again. Mine are from Wish, because I don't really like spending too much money on accessories. This cute black leather bag is from Mango and it's just the perfect size for these every day outfits.
